Company ProfileThis organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2017 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single NICU. Since then, they have grown to operate in multiple states with more than 100 board certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists on their team. They combine a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow providers to focus their time on delivering care.
PositionDescription
This position is employed by a private group, with the role based in a medical center in Odessa. The award‑winning hospital has a 49‑bed Level 3 NICU and serves as the region’s perinatal referral center. The position operates on a collaborative 2‑neonatologist model, with 24/7 in-house support from neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs). The hospital uses an EHR and clinical assistants are available to assist providers in all situations.
The schedule is typically 7 on / 7 off, but is flexible and collaboratively decided by the physicians. Physicians provide day coverage with home call at night.
