Asst​/Assoc​/Professor - Hematology & Oncology

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), School of Medicine, Odessa campus is focused on providing oncology care to the growing community through a partnership with the TTUHSC Division of Hematology/Oncology and UMC TLC2 in Lubbock. This will be a full-time role providing outpatient care at our Midland/Odessa clinics and inpatient care at our community hospitals, which are equipped with robust imaging and infusion capabilities.

• MD/DO or equivalent;
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency;
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Hematology and/or Oncology Fellowship; and
• Board Eligible in Hematology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited
  
  Hematology Fellowship, ORBoard Eligible in Oncology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Oncology Fellowship.
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

• Conducts comprehensive physical exams with review of medical history and review/interpretation of lab and diagnostic testing;
• Develops and manages customized treatment regiments inclusive of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care;
• Communicates with patients and family members regarding diagnoses, testing and treatment options;
• Coordinates care by working as part of a community and regional partner;
• Participates in quality improvement and other patient care programs;
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures;
• Participates in teaching fellows, residents and medical students; and
• Opportunities to participate in research.
