Part Time After School Site Program Manager

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students! Right At School’s mission emphasizes a commitment to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind. We do this by building a team of mission-driven individuals who are passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Inside the Odessa Schools

Pay Range: $21‑$24 per hour

Schedule/

Hours:

Monday‑Friday 2:45 pm – 6:00 pm and any early release school days (must be able to work Monday through Friday)

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age with a High School diploma/GED.
  • One year of supervisor/management experience.
  • 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management (preferred, not required).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare program.
  • All candidates must provide proof of the above qualifications (transcript, verifiable reference letters). Failure to provide verification will result in disqualification.
Responsibilities
  • Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met, supporting a clear understanding of responsibilities for staff.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date, outlining attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures.
  • Provide continual coaching, foster respectful relationships among staff, address challenges promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well‑being of all participants and mitigate potential risks.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships; respond promptly to emails, texts, and inquiries during program hours.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check‑ins and check‑outs; ensure “name to face” attendance procedures per company policy.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience working among competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills—oral, written, and visual—with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • At least one year of experience with children 5‑13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting.
  • 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Ability to meet all state‑specific requirements.
