The position in nursing is in the following specialty areas:
Critical Care and Medical Surgical Nursing. A strong nurse candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to teach introductory and upper college-level nursing students who are part of a diverse student population. Bi-lingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in nursing guidelines for quality assurance, regulations, and proficiency testing, is required. Additionally, nursing skills, and the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment as well as excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are expected and bi-lingual candidates are preferred.

The position will require in-state travel to affiliate clinical sites. Candidates should be committed to student-centered, outcomes-based education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning. Teaching assignments are 15 faculty load hours per semester. Courses to be instructed include lectures (including online), lab, simulation, and activity classes in the Nursing program. Full-time faculty are expected to participate on committees in the department, school of health sciences, and the college.

• Thirty faculty load hour annual contract taught during fall and spring terms - including face-to-face, online or hybrid instruction and instruction at off-site locations depending on student need
