Reverse Unit Supervisor at Axis Energy Services
This position is located in Odessa, TX, and has a preference for qualified local job seekers within 60 miles of the Axis Odessa office.
The Reverse Unit Supervisor will supervise reverse unit and downhole tool services and work with the reverse unit pumping and workover crew. Responsibilities include performing a number of field tasks associated with the operation of equipment and tools in a downhole correction on a well site, as well as providing expert knowledge and solutions to complete the job efficiently.
The work schedule is on rotation with days on and days off, and shifts may be daylight or night hours, varying by customer and location.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Supervise the reverse unit and downhole operation from assessment to completion, including timely delivery of equipment and tools.
- Assess the condition of the well and identify corrective action.
- Identify the appropriate tools and equipment to perform services.
- Communicate effectively with the reverse unit and workover crew on operating procedures.
- Plan and communicate to the customer the operation, procedures, and equipment required for the job.
- Maintain accurate records and complete work tickets based on company and customer requirements.
- Participate in business development of downhole services with the sales organization.
- Follow Axis standard operating procedures and other required training.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Fishing and Rental Services Manager.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR;
Class A or B CDL a plus. - Minimum two (2) years of pump down, reverse unit operation experience with knowledge of workover rigs and downhole experience.
- Expert knowledge of duplex and triplex pumps, hydraulic power swivels, and downhole fishing tools, and ability to perform maintenance safely and professionally.
- Working knowledge of computer equipment and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Effective communication skills with diverse personalities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure or emergency situations.
- Mobility, including access by ladders or other devices.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl, and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.
- Experience working outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand instructions and communicate directions.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to job tasks.
- Clearance for company pre-employment drug/alcohol and job-relevant screenings.
- Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
