Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Offshore Driller to join our dynamic team at Oil Rig Jobs. As an Offshore Driller, you will play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of offshore oil rigs, ensuring the smooth and safe extraction of oil and gas resources. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and control drilling equipment to achieve production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and manage drilling parameters to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of drilling machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the rig team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, including daily progress, equipment usage, and safety reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Supervise and guide junior crew members to ensure team efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and contribute to the overall safety culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Valid Offshore Safety and Survival certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, etc.).
  • Proven experience in drilling operations, preferably in an offshore setting.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision‑making skills under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in demanding conditions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Driller in offshore or onshore oil drilling operations.
  • Previous experience with advanced drilling technologies and automated systems is preferred.
Working Hours
  • Rotational schedule:
    Typically 28 days on and 28 days off.
  • Extended working hours during on‑duty rotations, with adequate rest periods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of offshore drilling operations and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with well control techniques and blowout prevention systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting geological data and drilling logs.
  • Ability to operate advanced drilling equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
