• 1. Have sufficient knowledge of Company policy, procedure, and workflow to direct the duties of the department and its personnel.
• 2. Supervise all individuals in the Engineering, Proposals, Project Design and Quality Control departments. He will provide the technical training and problem-solving assistance relating to equipment manufacturing and operation for these departments.
• 3. Have the mental ability to plan, direct, coordinate and supervise all activities in the Engineering and the Quality Control departments to accomplish tasks efficiently.
• 4. Make the calculations, data sheets, and special process control documents for the Project Design department to translate into the proper drawings and instructions. This function includes references on welding procedures, testing, working pressure, heat treatment requirements, material specifications, latest API and ASME specifications, non-destructive examination requirements, paint selections, storage and shipping procedures.
• 5. Perform the function of Manager of Quality Control, responsible for the Quality Control System and compliance with API and ASME requirements, initiating and recommending solutions to quality control problems and having authority for final resolution, be responsible for the Non-Destructive Testing program in compliance with A.S.M.E. codes and API Specification.
• 6. Develop and maintain the Engineering Technical Manuals concerning design requirements.
• 7. Attend and contribute to meetings concerned with the planning of corporate programs.
• 8. Requisition, interview, train and supervise all employees in the Engineering and the Quality Control departments.
• 9. Review and approve timecards.
• 10. Operate various equipment, including computer system, personal computer, printer, copier, scientific calculator, telephone, and facsimile machine. Have working knowledge of MS Office programs and email system.
• 11. Have the physical dexterity to climb stairs, vessels, et cetera, at irregular intervals.
• 12. Possess an approved Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
• 13. Report work status directly to the Executive Vice President.

• 1. Be responsible to the Vice President of Engineering.
• 2. Assume the duties of the Vice President of Engineering during his absence or as needed.
• 3. Oversee the normal workflow pertaining to the process of reviewing, designing, and assuring quality control standards are met.

• 1. Develop a feasibility study of the mechanical and process design from a customer inquiry and define the quote.
• 2. Evaluate the Proposal Department’s proposed quote; prepare preliminary data sheets, a proposed flow chart, and a proposed bill of materials when needed.
• 3. Develop a detailed study of the mechanical and process design, a detailed flow chart, and a detailed bill of material upon a customer approved job order.
• 4. Approve the job order so that drawings may be produced. The employee will review drawings for economical design.
