Work Schedule:

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. This position may require additional hours in the evenings and weekends, as needed.

Travel: Up to 75% as needed

Summary of Position:

As a Senior Field Service Technician Siemens, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of combustion turbine‑generators, reciprocating/turbo compressors, and associated auxiliary systems. You will perform hands‑on mechanical disassembly and inspection work, lead technical field service activities such as commissioning and troubleshooting, and apply advanced diagnostic methods including vibration analysis, metrology/alignment, and combustion dynamics tuning.

You must be a self‑starter and be willing to learn the details of the Flex Siemens Turbine. You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting our commitment to delivering world‑class service and technical excellence to our customers. Familiarity with Siemens generators a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Field Service Work
  • Commission turbine‑generator auxiliary systems, including startup, valve stroking, timing, and operational readiness checks.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, fact‑finding, and corrective action on combustion turbine‑generators and steam turbine systems.
  • Provide periodic support for new unit installations across customer sites.
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems through PLC interface(s).
  • Identify proper action with remote technical support as needed.
  • Manage and commence all on site repair, maintenance, and test tasks within prescribed schedule.
  • Document service processes and field maintenance/repairs.
  • Willing to work in remote locations and respond to unit call out.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, inspection summaries, and documentation for customers and internal teams.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of mechanics, technicians, and contractors at customer sites.
  • Maintain a safety‑first mindset and follow all safety and quality policies during all field and shop activities.
  • Follow all client, company and HSE filed procedures and protocols.
  • Complete all necessary safety training.
  • Practice and adhere to all safety requirements and training.
  • Operate vehicle in proper and safe manner.
Field Engineering & Commissioning
  • Commission turbine‑generator auxiliary systems, including startup, valve stroking, timing, and operational readiness checks.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, fact‑finding, and corrective action on combustion turbine‑generators and steam turbine systems.
  • Provide periodic support for new unit installations across customer sites in the U.S. and internationally.
Advanced Technical Diagnostics
  • Perform combustion dynamics and emissions tuning to optimize turbine performance and minimize environmental impact.
  • Apply modal and vibration analysis to improve equipment reliability, performance, and longevity.
  • Deliver precision metrology and alignment services using CAD, GD&T, portable CMMs, and advanced scanning technologies.
Teamwork

Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.

  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings to organization.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
  • Perform pre‑installation site walks as requested by management.
  • Perform any special tasks that may be assigned that will contribute to the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/engineering technology or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent technical experience.
  • 2–5+ years of hands‑on mechanical experience; field experience in Power Generation or Oil & Gas strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of turbine‑generators, reciprocating/turbo compressors, and related auxiliary systems.
