Position Summary
Administers physical therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a physical therapist, transports patients as necessary, carries out departmental infection control, assists in the delivery of clerical work, and assists therapists as necessary.
Qualifications- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. - Training and
Experience:
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department. - Job Knowledge:
Must be willing to learn basic modalities and equipment procedures. Must be comfortable working with direct patient care.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Heavy lifting of patient and equipment.
- Possible exposure to infectious diseases or radiation.
