Requirements:
- 3 years of NICU experience required; 2-year minimum noted in job overview
- Previous travel experience required
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; PALS preferred
- Cerner experience required/preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- 1:3 patient ratio
- Level III NICU experience required
- Experience with UAC/UVC, central lines, arterial lines, IV therapy, blood products, and neonatal medications
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP/HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and neonatal respiratory care
- Experience caring for neonates across different gestational ages, including 34 weeks
- Float to Pediatrics and Nursery required
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Description:
- Provide specialized nursing care to high-risk neonates in a Level III NICU while maintaining a 1:3 patient ratio.
- Manage complex neonatal conditions and therapies, including respiratory distress, sepsis, NEC, hyperbilirubinemia, therapeutic hypothermia, phototherapy, and neonatal abstinence syndrome.
- Perform neonatal assessments, APGAR scoring, developmental care, medication administration, IV therapy, central/UAC/UVC management, and blood product administration.
- Support high-risk deliveries and collaborate with respiratory services, social services, and other interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive neonatal care.
