Travel Ultrasound Technologist​/Sonographer - Sonography​/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for an Emergency Department setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS/BLS certification.

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• ARDMS certification and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Skills in OB/GYN imaging including all trimesters, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
• General ultrasound skills including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen imaging
• Experience with renal/pelvis, bladder, ovaries, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound
• Vascular imaging skills including lower and upper extremity venous studies and DVT arms and legs
• Experience with small parts imaging including superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
• Hernia and Head NICU imaging experience preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

• Emergency Department setting performing a wide variety of ultrasound scans
• Patient populations include adult, pediatric, obstetric, ICU, and NICU patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Uses PACS, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Performs portable ultrasound scans as needed across various departments
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing
• First-time travelers not considered for this position
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 mile radius
