TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.

On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Employees in this classification provide patient care management toan assigned clinic in the areas of clerical and clinical duties. Inthe clinical setting, the employee receives direct supervision froma physician or nursing supervisor in either oral or written  the office setting, the employee receives direct supervision from the department administrator. Work is performed under usualoffice and clinic conditions, and may be stressful when working under emergency conditions.

• Provide patient care under the direction of a Senior LVN and/or physician as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist assigned physicians with patient care management,including patient evaluations, clinical support, and coordination of care
• Perform nursing activities, assist with laboratory specimen collection, and complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients,families, providers, and clinic staff to support quality patient care

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants inthe area of required specialty, certification by an approvedaccredited certifying agency in the specialty in which the particular work will be performed.

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Previous administrative experience
• Three (3) years clinical experience
