Shift: Night, 4x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM),
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; 3 years preferred
- Previous travel experience required
- NRP and STABLE required
- BLS required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Experience with Level III / high-risk NICU patients
- 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Must be willing to float to Pediatrics and Nursery
- RTO must be submitted upfront
Description:
- Provide specialized nursing care to high-risk neonates in a Level III NICU.
- Care for premature neonates, including those 34 weeks.
- Manage neonatal respiratory support including ventilators, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems.
- Administer neonatal medications, antibiotics, surfactants, IV vasopressors, and emergency medications.
- Manage UAC/UVC, central lines, arterial lines, IV therapy, and blood products.
- Provide care for conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, NEC, hyperbilirubinemia, and meconium aspiration.
- Perform APGAR scoring, developmental care, thermoregulation, blood glucose monitoring, and phototherapy.
- Support high-risk deliveries and provide breastfeeding and breast milk handling support.
- Assist with therapeutic hypothermia, lumbar punctures, and other neonatal procedures.
- Educate and support patients' families while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
