Talent Acquisition / HR Specialist Summary/Overview

The Talent Acquisition / HR Specialist is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced recruiting professional who is energized by people, partnership, and progress. This role leads full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, and operational positions while partnering closely with leaders to understand workforce needs, build creative sourcing strategies, and attract exceptional talent.

Beyond recruiting, this position helps strengthen the complete employee experience—from candidate engagement and offer management to onboarding, HR support, employee engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings urgency, creativity, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to help SGH build the teams that power its continued growth.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Partner with leaders and internal stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and address current and anticipated hiring needs in alignment with business goals and workforce plans.
  • Coordinate assigned recruitment activity across the full hiring lifecycle, including role intake, job specification development, sourcing, candidate screening, interviewing, stakeholder communication, selection, offer management, and transition to onboarding.
  • Adapt recruitment priorities and approaches in response to changing business needs, labor-market conditions, and organizational requirements.
  • Support continuous-improvement and change-management initiatives within the talent acquisition function to improve process effectiveness, consistency, and agility.
  • Share recruitment best practices with internal stakeholders, including effective job descriptions, candidate outreach, employer value proposition messaging, structured interviewing, and positive candidate and onboarding experiences.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency and appropriate follow-through to meet hiring timelines, support the timely filling of critical roles, and minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Support onboarding activities and coordinate a smooth new-hire experience with the local team.
  • Assist with employee questions and routine HR-related topics, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Partner with local leaders to support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR reporting and documentation.
  • Coordinate HR communications, training, and other team initiatives.
  • Support performance management processes, including review cycles and follow-up actions.
  • Apply strong attention to detail when preparing job descriptions, evaluating candidates, documenting recruitment activity, managing candidate information, and coordinating hiring decisions.
  • Maintain and use the applicant tracking system, including job postings, applicant tracking, data maintenance, workflow activity, and reporting.
  • Use creative sourcing, recruiting-marketing, and outreach strategies to attract qualified and diverse talent and build candidate pipelines.
  • Coordinate with external recruiting providers and other talent‑acquisition partners as needed to support hiring demands.
  • Track recruitment activity and performance against key metrics, including time to fill, cost per hire, and hiring‑manager and candidate satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, labor‑market conditions, and competitor practices and share insights that support competitive recruitment strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
