Senior Procurement Specialist

A leading global organization within the building materials and construction solutions sector is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to lead regional sourcing activities. Managing an annual spend of approximately $200M, this is a high-visibility role designed for a strategic professional capable of driving procurement excellence across a major operating region.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will combine strategic sourcing, category management, and operational leadership to optimize supplier performance and deliver measurable cost savings. You will act as a key partner to site leadership, operations, and engineering teams to support both capital projects and day-to-day operational requirements.

• Strategic Sourcing: Execute regional sourcing strategies and lead competitive tender (RFx) events to secure high-value supplier agreements.
• Spend Management: Take full responsibility for a significant portfolio, including CAPEX, MRO, and operational categories.
• Value Creation: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maintaining strict service, quality, and safety standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Influence senior operational leaders and work cross-functionally within a matrix environment to align procurement activity with business objectives.
• Contract Management: Negotiate complex agreements and improve contract compliance across multiple sites.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize SAP and advanced Excel for spend analysis, cost modeling, and market intelligence.
