The Screw Compressor Repair Technician is responsible for the teardown and rebuild of a variety of valves and packing cases to meet OEM Standards.
What You'll Do- Tear down and inspect various screw compressors.
- Change gears, bearings, and seals in screw compressors, as necessary.
- Blind and air test to the shop air pressure values.
- Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases.
- Be able to read dial calipers.
- Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Basic hand tool knowledge.
- Able to stand and operate a sand blaster.
- Basic machining knowledge.
- Basic shop maintenance and clean up.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Minimum 3 years mechanical shop/field experience.
- Observes safety procedures;
Reports potentially unsafe conditions;
Uses equipment and materials properly. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
- Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer.
- Pro‑active, problem‑solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
