The Screw Compressor Repair Technician is responsible for the teardown and rebuild of a variety of valves and packing cases to meet OEM Standards.

• Tear down and inspect various screw compressors.
• Change gears, bearings, and seals in screw compressors, as necessary.
• Blind and air test to the shop air pressure values.
• Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases.
• Be able to read dial calipers.
• Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Able to stand and operate a sand blaster.
• Basic machining knowledge.
• Basic shop maintenance and clean up.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Minimum 3 years mechanical shop/field experience.
• Observes safety procedures;
  Reports potentially unsafe conditions;
  Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
• Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer.
• Pro‑active, problem‑solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
