Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/PCU RN with a TX or compact license to support a newly opened PCU unit caring for MS/Tele, stepdown, and critical care patients.

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in profession required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC/TCAR (TNCC/TCAR may be obtained within 30 days of starting if not already held)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with critical care skills including arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, and EVD/lumbar drain care preferred

• Work in a hospital ICU supporting a newly opened PCU unit
• Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patient populations, with floating to these areas during low census
• Patient ratios: MS/Tele 6:1, Critical Care 2:1
• Day shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Provide direct patient care across MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care units as needed based on census
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
