Meat Cutter

Summary

Meat Cutters are first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. He/She will perform all meat processing, sanitation, safety and stocking procedures on all fresh meat products (beef, pork, and chicken) as outlined by the company and directed by management.

• When a guest enters the area, acknowledge, greet, and engage them.
• Cut, grind, and wrap fresh meat products according to proper procedures to ensure product quantity, quality, and freshness.
• Stock and rotate product, ensuring trim specifications are followed and proper temperatures are maintained in all phases of meat preparation, display, and storage.
• Weigh, label, code-date and handle reworked and reduced-to-clear items to reduce expenses and prevent shrink.
• Follow the daily work schedule assigned by management.
• Follow dress code and health codes as per the team member handbook.
• Adhere to attendance and tardiness guidelines per the handbook and training video.
• Perform market duties to ensure proper handling for guest safety, convenience, and value.
• Perform any other duties requested or required by management.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but efficient and controlled manner.
• Physical ability to perform all meat cutter duties, including standing, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing and walking.
• Can lift up to 100 lbs. at a height of 4 feet regularly.
• Can read, write, and complete company forms for sales reporting.
• Can work periods of 8-10 hours in 50°F temperatures (controlled atmosphere for sanitation).
• Accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
• Function as a team member and get along with others.
