Our teams combine technical expertise with responsive customer service to develop solutions that meet the needs of demanding applications.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Fluid Power & Hydraulic Sales Specialist to support and grow our business throughout the West Texas territory.

This is a customer-facing outside sales position for someone who understands the West Texas market and has established relationships within the oil & gas and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate combines strong sales and relationship-building experience with technical knowledge of hydraulic and fluid power products and systems.

In addition to developing new business and managing existing accounts, this position will work closely with customers and internal teams to identify technical needs, recommend solutions, and provide support related to hydraulic system applications and design. The existing Hydraulic Specialist position combines territory sales, customer service, quoting, and closing with hydraulic drafting and design responsibilities. Hydraulic Specialist

What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow an assigned West Texas sales territory through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer-site visits.
  • Develop new customer accounts while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with oil & gas and industrial customers throughout the territory.
  • Identify sales opportunities, prepare quotes, follow up with customers, overcome objections, and work toward closing new business.
  • Meet established sales goals through effective account development and territory management.
  • Work closely with Inside Sales and other internal teams to ensure customer needs and sales opportunities are properly communicated and supported.
  • Provide technical assistance related to hydraulic design, engineering, and system applications.
  • Assist with hydraulic system design and development of specifications.
  • Size and select hydraulic components for mobile and industrial equipment.
  • Read and develop schematics using standard fluid power symbols.
  • Provide technical support related to material selection, system requirements, tolerances, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic product quality and reliability concerns and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Support product reviews, improvements, and implementation of technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and suppliers as needed to develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, expenses, and other required documentation.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of direct outside/external sales experience, preferably involving hydraulics, fluid power, industrial equipment, or related technical products.
  • Established relationships and a strong understanding of the West Texas/Permian Basin market, particularly within oil & gas and industrial accounts.
  • Professional experience working with hydraulic and/or fluid power products, systems, or applications.
  • Hydraulic system design and application experience preferred.
  • Experience sizing and selecting hydraulic components for mobile and/or industrial equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and/or develop hydraulic schematics using standard fluid power symbols preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education/technical experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with account development, opportunity qualification, sales planning, and territory management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical recommendations to customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering, operations, and other internal functions.
Schedule & Travel

This position requires frequent travel throughout the West Texas territory, including regular visits to customer locations. The schedule offers some flexibility based around normal business hours and customer needs. Hydraulic Specialist
