Standard Safety & Supply is looking for experienced Line Locators. The Pipeline Locator is responsible for maintaining and protecting their area of coverage of company assets while following corporate policies and ensuring that safe work and environmental procedures are followed. The Pipeline Locator is a key component in ensuring that the area of coverage is operating safely and with maximum efficiency.

Description

Standard Safety & Supply is looking for experienced Line Locators. The Pipeline Locator is responsible for maintaining and protecting their area of coverage of company assets while following corporate policies and ensuring that safe work and environmental procedures are followed. The Pipeline Locator is a key component in ensuring that the area of coverage is operating safely and with maximum efficiency.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

• Obtain OQ qualifications to mark underground facilities and process one call tickets in adherence to state laws, and company procedures.
• Conduct line patrols, respond to one calls and witness line crossings and excavations.
• Read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&.
• Support call out/on call requirements.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation to meet state and federal requirements as well as company procedures.
• Assist in maintenance activities in the ROW, meter station, and future compressor stations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies

• Basic:
• 1 or more years of experience in line locating
• Ethical
• Flexibility
• Initiative
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Current/Valid driver’s license
• Share a strong vision for safety
• Demonstrates a flexible, positive ‘can do’ approach to delivering team results
• Preferred:
• Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1-year experience in Environmental, Health and Safety position; technical writing a plus
• Strong time management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to anticipate needs, be resourceful and use sound judgement and tact

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor jobsite settings. Environmental conditions will vary.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending. May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 80% of the time.

Travel

Travel to various worksites is required.
