Journeyman Electrician

Overview

Journeyman Electrician – Lone Star Corporation. The Electrician installs, repairs wiring, maintains and upgrades electrical systems, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the duties described below. We seek an electrician with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their craft to ensure quality work is completed safely and on schedule.

• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
• Pulls wiring through conduit.
• Terminates wiring at lighting fixtures, control boxes, connectors, and power equipment.
• Installs controls, monitoring and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, sensors, control boxes and circuit-breaker panels.
• Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric motors or heaters, and installs grounding leads.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
• Directs and trains workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Performs business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with peers and engineering support to develop and implement solutions to problems or issues.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting: obtains, analyzes, and interprets data/information to develop solutions to issues.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• 3 to 5 years of oilfield electrical (AC & DC), hands-on experience.
• Open availability and willingness to travel; work is subject to stand-by, pre-arranged, and/or call-out duty.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Maintain a Journeyman Certificate/License.
• A valid Driver's License is required.
