The Maintenance and Construction Technician, Permian Area Midstream completes mechanical work related to pipeline maintenance and construction activities within the area. This position can be based out of either Odessa, TX or Hobbs, NM.

- Organizes and plans out job(s). As part of planning process, determines materials and equipment necessary for job and arrange for procurement of the materials and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
- Dispatches field crews engaged in the construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration of gas, NGL, crude, and refined products service.
- Performs maintenance work (equipment operator, etc.) at job site and provides work direction to other company personnel and contract personnel at job site, particularly in respect to safety procedures and work to be done that day.
- Inspects the work of company and contract personnel to ensure compliance with company standards, government regulations, etc.
- Maintains work order status log summaries/database and provides equipment/pipeline repair histories.
- Performs various administrative duties (i.e., review of field work tickets and invoices for accuracy and to ensure justification; collection/verification of time reports to verify contractor charges; completion of property damage reports, pipeline repair reports, etc.).
- Communicates and interacts with co-workers, producers, property owners, tenants, manufacturer’s representatives, and suppliers as well as other employees and members of the public in a professional manner.
- Provide leadership and guide/coordinate work activities being performed by company or contract personnel.
- Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience in Maintenance and Construction in the oil and gas industry
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to obtain a CDL, if selected
- Willingness and ability to perform and comply, with or without reasonable accommodation, with the following:
- Travel from site to site with occasional overnight travel
- Work overtime and weekends as needed
- Work in both inside and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
- Regularly get in and out of vehicles, work around mechanical, industrial, and electrical equipment
- Bend and move from ground level to higher levels
- Raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs
- Manually transport a load up to 75 lbs
- Apply up to 100-foot pounds of torque
- Move about equipment and work in confined areas / below grade
- Wear special safety equipment while working
- Lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment
- Understand equipment and repair manuals
- Examine/analyze equipment for defects
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of pipeline repair and maintenance
- Thorough knowledge of safety rules and practices and a satisfactory safety record
This position has a base salary range of $70,200 - $114,400 (before overtime).
