EPC Heavy Equipment Operator; Texas

Overview

SOLV Energy is hiring for an EPC Heavy Equipment Operator (Texas). The heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment used in construction, grading, and maintenance.

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in grading and site construction.
• Follow company safety procedures and bring problems to the attention of the foreman and superintendent.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; clean equipment.
• Under direction of foreman and superintendent, perform tasks such as building roads, grading, installing silt fence, earth dikes, substation pads, etc.

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy civil equipment.
• Knowledge of cutting and filling grade.
• Knowledge in processing materials with proper moisture and compaction conditions for road subgrade and base course.
• Must be willing to travel to jobsite locations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Preferred knowledge of GPS.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Specialization in one or more of the following:
  Excavator;
  Dozer;
  Motor Grader;
  Scraper;
  Loader;
  Tractor with scraper pan;
  Water truck (CDL needed).
