Overview
SOLV Energy is hiring for an EPC Heavy Equipment Operator (Texas). The heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment used in construction, grading, and maintenance.
Position Responsibilities and Duties- Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in grading and site construction.
- Follow company safety procedures and bring problems to the attention of the foreman and superintendent.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; clean equipment.
- Under direction of foreman and superintendent, perform tasks such as building roads, grading, installing silt fence, earth dikes, substation pads, etc.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy civil equipment.
- Knowledge of cutting and filling grade.
- Knowledge in processing materials with proper moisture and compaction conditions for road subgrade and base course.
- Must be willing to travel to jobsite locations.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Preferred knowledge of GPS.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Specialization in one or more of the following:
Excavator;
Dozer;
Motor Grader;
Scraper;
Loader;
Tractor with scraper pan;
Water truck (CDL needed).
