ATC seeks a current Reserve, Air National Guard or retired/separated U.S. military fighter pilot or weapons systems operator to fill the role of a Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Distributed Training Center (DTC).

• Leads and facilitates mission briefings and debriefings as well as evaluates simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency.
• Collaborates with MAF Aircrew Training Device providers and our customers to determine exercise requirements that will enable the units to meet the MAF DMO Program vision to enhance Global Reach through a network of live, virtual, and constructive training capabilities.
• Provides operational and tactical level experience in integrated employment of MAF DTC core missions, with specific expertise in air battle management and Blue Force integration.
• Expertise in sister service core missions may be appropriate and requested for training joint customers.
• Provides subject matter expertise to support DMO Operational Training events.
• Conduct mission briefing, execution and debriefing and post mission documentation.
• Coordinate with NOC personnel for ECC set‑up.
• Report issues related to simulation software applications and provide basic trouble‑shooting support.
• When not directly supporting DMO events, other duties include attending scheduled academics, meetings and other training.
• Provide academic support (briefings, instruction, etc.) as coordinated with DTOC Training Coordinator.
• Support other Operational Testing & Training Infrastructure activities defined by the Government.
• Support will be required on some ANG Drill weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Current or previous fighter aircraft pilot or weapons system operator with current (within the last five years) robust air-to-air background.
• Current or previous Instructor or evaluator.
• Minimum five years operational air-to-air experience.
• Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade TS.

• USAF Pilot with F-16, F-15, F-22 or F-35 background.
• USN Pilot with F-18, EA-18 or F-35 background.
• USAF WSO with F-15 background.
• USN WSO with EA-18 background.
• Three years’ experience conducting training in a DMO environment.
• Current or previous USAF Fighter Weapons School or Top Gun Graduate.
• Knowledgeable in 5th Gen fighter employment to incorporate into daily customer mission catalogs and part of SME academics program.
• Experience with environment generator software to include Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) and Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE).
• Top Secret Security Clearance.
