Junior Business Architect​/Analyst

Overview

T-Rex is part of the winning team awarded a program supporting the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) by providing enterprise architecture, data, and engineering services to USTRANSCOM, US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC), and US Army Surface Deployment Distribution Command (SDDC).

The team will develop and deliver enterprise architecture products, capability prototypes, system plans, enterprise cloud services, cybersecurity solutions, and data management services; as well as provide enterprise architecture tool operations support for service offerings across USTRANSCOM and its Transportation Component Commands. As the command transitions into commercial cloud services and future capabilities, T-Rex will support integration efforts to perform analysis across enterprise, systems of systems, and individual system levels as well as assist the Government in developing enterprise strategies, technical standards, and services.

All work will be performed at Scott Air Force Base.

• Work as part of a special ops team to design and develop Proof of Concept solutions automating the creation and validation of Interface Control Documents, Enterprise Architecture artifacts and models, and Business Process Models
• Prepare file defect reports and report test progress
• Lead the root cause analysis and resolution of complex problems
• Effectively and efficiently use all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite to create and deliver documents to support the USTRANSCOM Enterprise Architecture team
• Lead change control and scope management efforts
• Successfully identify, address, manage and escalate risks and issues within a project

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 0-3 years of related experience
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Able to recognize the business process, organizational issues, and opportunities
• Able to make basic to moderate Business Process and Organizational improvement recommendations
• Able to participate in Business Process Mapping (BPM) sessions and document process flows in Visio or another relevant BPM tool
• Self-motivated, with some experience working in a self-directed way in an ambiguous business environment
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations and presentations
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and be a team player when scope and direction is unclear and/or priorities are frequently changing
• Able to lead simple to moderate complexity sessions to analyze, diagnose, and resolve unpredictable and varied problems using a variety of methods and tools

• Experience with visual modeling and design tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA) or Cameo
• Experienced in communicating with and presenting to managers, senior managers, and director-level individuals
• Has participated in (or is able to participate in) a software, vendor, or product evaluation and selection process
• Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
• Can speak with authority and confidence about a system or process areas and has worked cooperatively with management before to identify solutions to complex problems
• Security + Certification preferred
