As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support the advancement of ML throughout the Department of Defense. As a Machine Learning Engineer on our Enterprise Technology team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.

In this role, you’ll lead the direction of mission‑critical solutions by applying best‑fit ML algorithms and introducing leading‑edge technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of machine‑learning engineers across the company and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers to deliver world‑class solutions to accelerate mission impact in our country’s most vital tasks. Your skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, including developing and deploying machine learning models

• Experience working onlarge-scale data project sand handling big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop or Spark

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Java or Scala for data manipulation and model building

• Knowledge ofcloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying ML solutions

• Knowledge ofdata engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics

• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow or Py Torch

• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies such as Kafka

• Experience with U.S. government and Department of Defense applications of ML

• Knowledge ofagentic AI and advances in AI ethics

• Ability to mentor and lead junior data scientists and engineers, providing guidance and knowledge transfer

• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions tonon‑technical audiences, ensuring business alignment

• TS / SCI clearance

• Master's degree in a related field
