ServiceNow Senior Developer

The Digital Sector has a career opportunity for a Service Now Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract s contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).  It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.

Candidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security + certification. As Sr. Service Now Developer you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the Service Now implementation.

Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through Service Now Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.

Primary Responsibilities Support the standup, configuration and implementation of Service Now dashboards and Kibana dashboards

Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles Create, maintain and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports

Create and configure tool integrations with Service Now (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc)
Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades

Assist with design, creation and business process flows tied to dashboarding capabilities

Work with other members of the Service Now development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies

Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure Service Now and Kibana functional dashboard and reports

Support business process re-engineering activities to translate user stories into capability that can be released to the end user Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance

Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts

Developing, configuring, and customizing the Service Now and Kibana platform to fit business requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Orchestrate and automate tasks.

Responsible for the design and build of Service Now and Kibana dashboards and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.

Foster strong cross-functional collaboration among engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members to ensure new development and enhancement efforts remain aligned with project objectives, on schedule, and on track for successful delivery.

Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and process throughout development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Service Now and Kibana configuration, implementation, and support.

Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal team and align into Service Now and Kibana development.

Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
