Operating Room Registered Nurse

Perioperative Services care for adult and pediatric patients throughout their perioperative stay, from pre‑operative evaluation through post‑operative recovery and discharge.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or higher degree.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the nursing care standards.

Responsibilities
  • Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment, educating families on illness management and home‑care medication administration.
  • Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and the patient/family; ensure communication of care plans across the continuum.
  • Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care; assess patient preferences and potential barriers to involvement in care.
  • Perform in a safe manner as a safety‑sensitive position requiring constant alertness.

  • Nursing Diploma / Associate’s Degree
