Position SummaryUnder general supervision, the Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in all operational and financial aspects of the restaurant, helping with staffing, equipment, product control, guest service, and general upkeep. Business will be conducted through open communications with guests, auditing, and coaching team members.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise preparation, cooking, and serving of food with utmost concern for food quality.
- Assist with weekly work schedule & set-up organization of crew to properly handle business for different shifts.
- Order inventory & supplies, check deliveries for accuracy, and process invoices for payment.
- Properly complete weekly team member payroll sheets.
- Ensure delivery of the highest levels of guest service & resolve all guest complaints.
- Oversee store safety & implement proper sanitation practices.
- Ensure proper cash handling & reporting of all monies to the corporate office.
- Provide on-the-floor supervision to oversee line production & guest service.
- Assist in hiring, coaching, training, motivating, evaluating, and terminating crew members as necessary.
- Make a positive contribution to the profits of the company.
- Oversee the completion & accuracy of all store reporting.
- Coach, train, and motivate the Associate Manager to help them develop skills to become an Assistant Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
- Management-level experience in the food service industry preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Quick‑thinker; anticipates/solves issues with excellent organizational, decision‑making, and guest service skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally in verbal & written form with guests, team members, and vendors.
- Ideal candidate is resourceful, innovative, enthusiastic, creative, outgoing, and passionate about achieving success.
- A positive style of management which encourages team member retention and promotes teamwork.
- Must be trustworthy, loyal, and be able to make decisions in the best interest of the company.
Lion’s Choice provides competitive compensation, including base salary, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary$18.00 - $19.50 per hour
