West Field High School - Fine Arts Student Temp

Overview

A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at West Field High School for a Fine Arts Student Temp. This is a temporary/seasonal position. To apply for this position, the applicant must be pre-approved by the school's Fine Arts Director. It is the responsibility of the applicant to contact the high school's Fine Arts Director / Head of Fine Arts Department before submitting an application.

• The Arts and Design Technician is responsible for supporting teaching and learning in the Arts Department (Art, Film, Drama, and Music) and Design Department through the management and maintenance of materials, tools, equipment, and teaching spaces.
• The technician reports to the Heads of Departments.
• Theatre Technician: Ensure that lighting, sound, and other technical aspects of theatre performances run safely, smoothly, and on time. Maintain theatre equipment and ensure the safety of those using or exposed to it.
• Band: Assist the Band Director with woodwinds, brass, percussion, color guard, or visual needs. Duties include running sectionals, rehearsals, one-on-one teaching, and other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Director. Maintain a professional demeanor around students.

• Experience or ability to support multiple arts disciplines (Art, Film, Drama, Music) and the related design areas.
• Ability to manage materials, tools, equipment, and teaching spaces effectively and safely.
• Ability to work under the direction of department heads and align with the Director’s expectations and example.
