Job Summary / Basic Function

Tutor math (0950 and above) to WSU students who are participating in SSS STEM. Tutoring is individual and by appointment. Tutors must have a grade of B+ or above in the class tutoring. Training will be provided and will be required. Tutors will work during Fall and Spring semesters. Tutors’ hours will vary based on the needs of SSS STEM students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide intentional one‑on‑one mentoring on campus resources such as financial aid, registration, and wellness.
  • Connect students to campus and community resources and support transition to college, making meaningful connections and participating in campus and community programs.
  • Prepare students for graduation and beyond by reviewing resumes, leadership skills, communication skills, and other essential topics.
  • NOTE:

    This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications
  • Good communication skills.
  • Grades of B+ or higher in classes needed for tutoring.
