Job Description

A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Weber Innovation High for an IVC & Testing Coordinator. This position is for 5.75 hours per day, 9 months per year. Applicants may apply on  Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled.
THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS.

Responsibilities
  • Issue Chromebooks to all WIHS students and ensure Chromebook agreements are signed by students/parents.
  • Check out and check in Chromebooks.
  • Collect data on student numbers taking college courses, including percentages and grades.
  • Maintain a productive learning environment for early college students.
  • Mediating communication between University instructors and WIC students.
  • Proctor exams for early college students.
  • Run study hall classes and assist the current IVC coordinator with duties as requested.
  • Organize and send out the What’s Up newsletter, collecting pictures and information continually.
  • Ensure IVC equipment is operational before the start of college courses.
  • Resolve technical difficulties in IVC broadcasts and take roll.
  • Proctor all IVC courses and prompt attendance in college courses.
  • Contact parents regarding attendance and/or poor grades (below

    C).
  • Train students on how to succeed in their college courses.
  • Monitor college courses to ensure an educationally stimulating environment.
  • Coordinate testing, including Weber Online Testing, State Testing (Aspire), ACT testing, and data gathering & organizing.
  • Coordinate the lab schedule with teachers, staff, and third-party events.
    • Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintain a positive rapport with students and parents.
  • Assist students with setting immediate and long-range goals.
  • Facilitate structured homework sessions and teach supplemental lessons.
  • Assist with volunteer tutoring services for students as needed.
  • Confer with counselors, teachers, parents, and community agency personnel as appropriate.
  • Establish student contracts to build confidence and improve academic skills.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records and files for program effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to inform counselors, teachers, and parents about student progress.
  • Ensure that students enrolled in Early College succeed by providing necessary resources and a proper learning environment.
  • Resolve any technical difficulties during IVC class periods.
  • Serve as the school’s testing coordinator, scheduling and proctoring all state-mandated testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by office personnel.
