Job Summary/Basic Function
Job Summary
Provide accommodated testing for students with disabilities, ensuring that all testing services comply with institutional policies and federal regulations, including ADA and Section 504. Under the general supervision of the Coordinator for Outreach and Operations, manage test accommodation services, collaborate extensively with students, faculty, and staff, stay informed of laws and best practices, and attend professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Accommodated Testing and Student Support
Oversee scheduling and administration of exams with accommodations for students with disabilities; collaborate and communicate with students; provide individualized guidance and maintain clear protocols. - Team Support
Collaborate with Disability Advisors to ensure appropriate test materials and accommodations; act as main contact and provide training and policy development. - Faculty Support
Collaborate with faculty to ensure timely provision of accommodations; provide training and maintain current protocols. - Testing Services and WSU Online Support
Collaborate with Testing Services and WSU Online to advocate for students’ needs, provide training, and remain updated on protocols. - Compliance and Quality Control
Maintain confidential records, update database, manage logistics for secure delivery of test materials, update inventory, prepare reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months experience working in higher education.
- Experience with higher education software (Canvas, Accommodate, Microsoft Office, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or communications field.
- Assessment experience or familiarity with research ethics and compliance with human subjects.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability or desire to work effectively with a diverse student population, especially students with disabilities.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Background Check required.
