This position assists freshmen or at‑risk students with academic skills such as test‑taking, note‑taking, time management, and calendar organization. Mentors work one‑on‑one, instruct, and model professional behavior.

• Work one‑on‑one with assigned students to improve academic skills.
• Provide instruction on test‑taking tips, note‑taking, time‑management, and calendaring.
• Model professional conduct and adapt instruction to diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Monitor student progress and adjust coaching strategies.

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• Basic word‑processing, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively via email.

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (spreadsheets, databases, internet).
• Personable, flexible, and adaptable.
• Availability mid‑day and/or evenings to accommodate student schedules.

• Federal Work‑Study Preferred.
• Background check required.
• Position is a pooled role; pool expires after a period and applicants notified.
