Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel s scope of service in Sentinel s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.
A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.
In this role
, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project s architectural aspects. In this role as Senior Architect, you will support the design for the project.
This will entail originating/checking specifications, building code analyses, material requisitions, and technical studies or reports. Additionally, checking design drawings and review and coordination of vendor information and leading technical discussions and constructability reviews.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions.
- Analyses and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.
- Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
- Prepare letters to vendors and clients.
- Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations.
- Coordinates architectural efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
- Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.
- When delegated, provides guidance to other architectural personnel for specific tasks or project-subgroups. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Architectural methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgement in making adaptations and modifications.

- Performs building code analyses and compliance, 3D modeling and renderings.
- Coordinates work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction.
