Cimarron Inc. is seeking a HVAC Mechanical Engineer (Senior) for its Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the US Air Force’s Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT.
This is an on‑site position offering a 9X80 work schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. A relocation allowance may be provided for candidates not local to the Ogden area.

Key Duties- Collect the HVAC, safety, and other data and requirements for HVAC and/or other support systems.
- Design the system and specify the equipment to meet the applicable design requirements.
- Procure the equipment in accordance with applicable QA requirements.
- Coordinate with the engineering group and other disciplines in developing the detailed system design and specifying equipment in a team environment.
- Prepare reports and studies in resolving open technical issues related to the process systems.
- Develop and revise ventilation and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets and specifications in completing the detailed design for the system, including equipment selection.
- Support the associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations.
- Only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time, due to facility security requirements.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- Position requires access to federal facilities; candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ‑compliant driver’s license or state‑issued identification card at the time of hire.
- Six or more years of experience designing and constructing HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
- Experience with performing airflow calculations for Mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment on power plants, refineries, or chemical process facilities.
- Experience with HVAC equipment selection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with six or more years of related experience.
- Experience working with vendors on the procurement of equipment.
- Experience in CGD and/or Environmental Equipment Qualification.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
- Experience with Trane TRACE™ 700 and Vari Trane™ Duct Designer software.
- Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Prior experience working with Government agencies, preferably DOE or DOD.
