Machine Build Designer
The Machine Build Designer will create mechanical concepts and design industrial automated equipment that will be used for the mass production of automotive airbags. You will work within a highly innovative team that turns concepts into fully functionable production lines producing lifesaving products.
What you’ll do:- Review and follow requirements from customer provided scope of work
- Provide input to project manager for new quotes
- Come up with machine concepts
- Create CAD models using Solid Works
- Detailed drawings using Solid Works
- Manage print packages with EPDM
- Spec out all machine components that meet machine requirements
- Conduct design reviews with cross functional teams
- Place BOM orders for assigned projects
- Provide accurate project status to project manager
- Engineering degree or 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial automation or related technical field
- 1 year of Mechanical design and Solid Works experience
- Draft Sight and/or AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Ability to work on projects with set timelines and budgets
- Travel between facilities may be required
- Positive attitude and ability to get along with others
- Teamwork and customer service is a must
- Availability to work fully on site
