Job Description: Pay Range: $23.21hr - $50hr
- The Engineering Technologist – Mechanical supports engineering leads and project engineers by tracking information, locating documents, and maintaining technical data.
- This role involves data analysis, document control support, presentation preparation, and assistance with technical documentation while ensuring work is completed to high quality standards and project schedules.
- The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and collaboration across multiple disciplines.
- Support engineering leads and engineers by tracking information and locating required documents.
- Perform data searches and maintain the status of open item and punch list items.
- Support meeting preparation and presentations, including creation of presentation materials.
- Assist with the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer.
- Support CAD updates and back-checking activities.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality standards and project schedules.
- Maintain key process improvement registers.
- Promote a work environment that supports openness, trust, teamwork, communication, innovation, and safety.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines and functional teams on assigned tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of technical information.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively within an engineering team.
- Proficiency in standard office software applications.
- Relevant work experience supporting engineering, technical documentation, or data analysis functions.
- Experience working with technical documents and structured data preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong computer aptitude for collecting, organizing, and presenting technical data using databases.
- Ability to analyze technical documents and classify information for efficient retrieval.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and organize large amounts of information.
- Effective communication skills when working with engineers, technical experts, and management.
- Interest in learning technical drafting concepts.
- Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
