Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which modernizes the ground‑based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.
Job SummaryYou will work as part of the Control Systems Engineering team, assisting the EGS Lead, engineers, and the Project Engineer/Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources. You will support schedule and reporting work progress, coordinate submittals, perform back‑check drawing updates, review technical documents, and facilitate meetings and workshops. The ideal candidate will have strong computer aptitude for collecting, organizing, and presenting technical data with databases and will collaborate across engineering disciplines.
MajorResponsibilities
- Supports the EGS Lead and engineers in tracking and reporting information and locating documents
- Performs data searches and maintains open item punch list status
- Supports meeting presentations, including preparing PowerPoint slides and Power BI dashboards
- Supports the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer, including supporting CAD updates/back‑checking
- Assures work is performed to high‑quality standards while executing to the project schedule
- Level I:
Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree with 1‑2 years of relevant work experience, or 4‑5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree - Level II:
Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree with 3‑4 years of relevant work experience, or 5‑6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and functions on assigned tasks
- Computer skills: A strong aptitude for collecting, organizing, and presenting technical data through relational databases
