Overview
The Engineering Technologist will support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the U.S. Air Force’s Sentinel (formerly GBSD) program in Ogden, UT. This on‑site position involves working with Cimarron and Bechtel to design, construct, and integrate Sentinel launch infrastructure at various U.S. Air Force bases.
Responsibilities- Assist the Mechanical Engineering team in retrieving and synthesizing technical data from multiple sources.
- Track schedules and report work progress in accordance with project requirements.
- Organize and coordinate submittals, drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops.
- Collect, organize, and present technical data using databases and computer‑based tools.
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to support day‑to‑day project activities.
- Track engineering information, locate documents, and maintain status of open‑item punch lists.
- Develop presentation materials and technical briefings for meetings.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including CAD updates and back‑checking.
- Ensure work is executed to high‑quality standards while meeting project schedules.
- Maintain key process improvement registers and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Only U.S. citizens; ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Valid, Real ‑compliant driver’s license or state‑issued .
- Ability to complete pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
- Strong computer aptitude for collecting, organizing, and presenting technical data using relational databases.
- Ability to analyze technical documents, identify relevant information, and classify data efficiently.
- Analytical skills to manage large volumes of information and extract data in response to requests.
- Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, analysts, experts, and management.
- High attention to detail for accurately capturing and tracking technical information.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and functional groups on assigned tasks.
- Interest in learning to draft intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or an associate degree.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with Bechtel and/or DoD or DoE projects.
- Associate of Arts or Science degree.
- 9×80 work schedule (every other Friday off)
- Paid overtime
