Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting a Mechanical Engineering Technologist for a 12-month contract in Ogden, UT. This position supports their Sentinel Program, which aims to modernize the ground-based component of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure.

This role is onsite and offers a W-2 hourly base rate, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half, as well as per diem and mobilization/demobilization assistance.

Due to the requirements of federal government contracts, candidates must have U.S. Citizenship. Candidates must have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite, and per diem is available.

Job Summary
You will be working as part of the Mechanical Engineering team, assisting the EGS Lead, engineers, and the Project Engineer/Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources. You will work with the schedule and report work progress. You will work to organize and coordinate submittals, back-check drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing computers to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of databases.

You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in your day-to-day work activities. The successful candidate must have strong organization and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to innovate designs.

• The primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the EGS, Lead, and engineers' tracking of information and locating documents.
• The Engineering Technologist performs data searches and maintains open item punch list items.
• The Engineering Technologist supports meeting presentations, including preparing presentation slides.
• The Engineering Technologist will also support the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer, including supporting CAD updates/back-checking.
• The Engineering Technologist assures the work is performed to high-quality standards while executing to the schedule.
• In addition, it will be required that the candidate has excellent communication skills and can demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within the work group and when interfacing with disciplines.

Level 1: Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 1-2 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 4-5 years of relevant work experience.

Level 2: Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 3-4 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
