You will be working as part of the Mechanical Engineering team assisting the EGS, Lead, engineers, and the Project Engineer/Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources. You will work with the schedule and reporting work progress. You will work to organize and coordinate submittals, back‑check drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing computers to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of databases.
You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in your day‑to‑day work activities. The successful candidate must have strong organization and teamwork skills, proven problem‑solving skills, a can‑do attitude, and a design‑to‑innovate mindset.
- The primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the EGS, Lead, and engineers tracking of information and locating documents.
- The Engineering Technologist performs data searches and maintains open item punch‑list items status.
- The Engineering Technologist supports meeting presentations, including preparing presentation slides.
- The Engineering Technologist will also support the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer, including supporting CAD updates/back‑checking.
- The Engineering Technologist assures the work is performed to the high‑quality standards while executing to the schedule.
- In addition, it will be required that the candidate has excellent communication skills and can demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within the work group and to interfacing disciplines.
- Maintain Key Process Improvement registers.

- Level 1:
Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 1‑2 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 4‑5 years of relevant work experience. - Level 2:
Requires an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree (or international equivalent) with 3‑4 years of relevant work experience OR no degree and 5‑6 years of relevant work experience. - Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to complete a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Analyze data within technical documents to identify relevant information and properly classify that information so that it can be sorted and readily retrieved for later analysis and use by project staff. - Analytical

As a member of an Engineering team, communicate with other data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management. - Attention to Detail:
Possess the ability to accurately identify and capture relevant technical details from within large documents and data sets. - Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and functions on assigned tasks.
- Interest in learning to draft intelligent piping & instrumentation diagrams.
- Preferred previous Bechtel and/or DOD or DOE project experience.
