About the Role:
As a Lead Environmental Specialist, you will work towards developing policies to identify and reduce hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments. You will investigate environmental incidents and partner with engineers, management, and environmental regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. You will provide advice and training on protocols and conduct audits to ensure environmental compliance with organizational and government standards.
You will report to the Sr Manager, EHS and be located in Ogden, UT. You will be onsite.
- Bring all environmental issues to regulatory compliance and conformance to the EHS Management System.
- Be a technical lead for plant environmental issues and opportunities, to support manufacturing and fabrication operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise, assistance, and support for site‑wide environmental issues and serve as main contact for environmental issues and events.
- Maintain all ISO 14001 EMS and facility environmental procedures.
- Ensure that all required environmental compliance monitoring data is maintained and oversee keeping of environmental records.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, safety or related degrees or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulatory compliance role.
- Knowledge of Clean Air Act, Title V, RMP regulations.
- Experience with ISO 14001, Environmental Management System.
- Groundwater plume monitoring and corrective action experience.
- Knowledge of Clean Water Act, wastewater management, permitting, minimization and surface impoundments.
The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $100,800 to $126,000 per year.
