pNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a  bManufacturing Technician 4. This position will be located in  bOgden, UT and will support the  bSDS Division at the Ogden Manufacturing Facility
. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

hat You’ll Get To Do  ul liAlign parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. liRead and understand blueprints. liTranslate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools. liPerform such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
liMay monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. liMeasure parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. liDaily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems. liUse of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor. liRecommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness. liRecord and report existing structural discrepancies found during modification.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.


ou Will Bring These Qualifications  ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 6 years of hands‑on experience in an engineering or technical role. li2 years of experience troubleshooting and practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. li2 years of experience interpreting technical schematics, drawings, and maintenance manuals. liStrong problem‑solving abilities and an aptitude for working in dynamic environments.
liExcellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. hese Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have  ul liAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. liCertifications or technical training in relevant engineering technologies. liExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility maintenance environment. liAdditional competencies in areas such as PLC programming, instrumentation, or quality assurance.
liIPC-610, IPC-620, and J-std-001 experience is a plus. liProven ability to mentor junior technicians and support team development. liWelding experience is a plus; familiarity with basic welding techniques and safety procedures is beneficial. pPrimary Level Salary Range: $66,300.00 - $
