Overview
The Boeing Company in the Missile and Weapons System division, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Sustainment Programs, is seeking a highly motivated Test & Evaluation Engineering Technician, Entry or Associate to support Dynamic and Environmental Testing at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) in Ogden, Utah
.
Responsibilities: assist in setup and testing customer-provided test articles to dynamic and natural environments (shock, vibration, temperature, altitude, humidity, etc.). Set up instrumentation and configurations needed to perform tests and minimize risk. This role supports HAFB LMTF Shock & Vibration Labs for testing, operating and maintaining test stands and support equipment, designing test hardware, software and systems to meet test requirements, and upgrading a variety of test stands and methods including hardness status, projection, data acquisition, analysis, and performance of hardened components.
Identify solutions to basic problems and support the development of processes, methods, and tools. Support development of test debrief material. Work under general supervision. The candidate will also support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and configuration of test stands, equipment, and interfaces documentation.
- Lead a team to conduct a test, compile test sequences, monitor progress, and record test activities; troubleshoot and maintain during unforeseen events.
- Operate, integrate, install, troubleshoot, and maintain automatic test equipment.
- Apply general knowledge across a wide range of mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Perform special test procedures to support testing and failure investigation; prepare for next test activities based on results.
- Design component and sub-assembly level hardware as specified by the Statement of Work; use analytical tools to verify the design; assist in coordinating manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
- Participate in test readiness reviews, safety reviews and data/control systems checkout; calibrate and validate systems to satisfy test requirements; configure software for data acquisition and analysis; prepare daily execution plans for effective use of test resources.
- Knowledge of test article/vehicle configuration control procedures; track and maintain configuration using configuration management processes; configure the test article using test requirements from test plans, government regulations, and safety rules.
- Understand design of experimental models, mechanisms, prototypes, test rigs, fixtures, test equipment, and load measurement devices; knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; integrate a wide range of test instrumentation (e.g., strain, pressure, temperature); utilize analytical tools.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

- Entry Level 1:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Entry Level 2:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
- Experience in engineering test support in a test lab environment

Pay and Benefits
Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. Entry Level Summary pay range: $52,700 - $71,300;
Associate Level Summary pay range: $65,450 - $88,550. The Boeing Company provides eligible employees with a variety of benefit programs (health insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off). Programs vary by location and eligibility.
