Paramedic Part Time

Job Summary

As a Paramedic at Ogden Regional Medical Center you will provide emergency medical services at the freestanding Pleasant View Emergency Center. You will work part‑time (2–12 hours per week, mixed days & nights) and support the ED team by assisting physicians, monitoring patients, and performing life‑saving interventions.

• Maintain clear communication with physicians and licensed nurses regarding patient care.
• Assist with patient examinations or treatments, observe and report patient signs or symptoms.
• Take vital signs, measure and record input and output.
• Attach and monitor oxygen and cardiac monitors, including 12‑lead EKGs; suction airways and report findings.
• Receive patients from EMS personnel and prepare them for physician care.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory procedures.
• Assist ED physicians with procedures such as central line insertions, lumbar punctures, defibrillation, cardioversion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, arterial lines, suturing, needle chest decompress ions, intubation, intraosseous lines, suctioning, Foley catheter insertion, and airway device placement.
• Perform CPR, defibrillation, cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing during emergencies.

• Paramedic and Vocational School Graduate.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.
