Pay Grade Salary:
Hourly Pay Rate $14.75 (increases by $0.25 per hour after initial training). FLSA:
Job is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position will provide support as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff experiencing technical issues at the WSU Davis and Ogden campuses. The applicant will provide support via phone, email, chat, and in‑person for users experiencing software, network, desktop, and other technical issues.
Job training will be provided, so no previous technical experience is required. Personnel will work in a team environment and with the support of other technicians.
Applicants must be a current WSU student and must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Shift schedules are flexible to accommodate class schedules where possible, but applicants are expected to work during a portion of core hours (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Monday‑Friday). This position is in‑person and alternates between the WSU Davis campus and the Ogden campus with no option for remote or hybrid work schedules.
Required Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent
- Past customer service experience and Solic computer troubleshooting skills
- Currently enrolled students or prospective students who will enroll within one semester
