Laser Operator- 1st Shift

Core Responsibilities

• Set‑Up and operation on CNC Laser and other production machines such as lathes and mills.
• Understanding and ability to problem solve any issues that may occur with machinery and/or material.
• Working with a variety of measuring and inspection devices, hand tools and the ability to identify different types and thicknesses of materials.
• Ability to utilize various inspection tools, calipers, mics, overlays and pin gauges.
• Attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to plan and perform difficult work processes.
• Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of employees.
• Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
• Ability to work in a challenging and schedule‑driven environment.
• Learn and adhere to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prefer background in Aerospace industry.
• Set up and program machinery to cut sheet material and create fixtures per customer specifications.
• Analyze drawings and specifications and determine tooling by applying knowledge and experience of metal properties, machining and processes. Work with toolmakers, engineers, and quality to give feedback and resolve problems regarding tolerances not meeting customer specifications.
• Inspect tools using calipers, mics, overlays and pin gauges to determine whether they are in tolerance of customer specifications.
• Daily maintenance and clean‑up of machines and align machines when/if issues arise.
• Learn and adhere to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices.

• High School Diploma or GED required

9/80 scheduled. 9 hour shifts; off every other Friday - 6:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
