TheOpportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Machining Apprentices to join our team!
The apprentice will be registered with the Department of Labor under a CNC Machining apprenticeship program. The program will include on the job training as well as instructor led courses through one of our partner organizations, Ogden/Weber Tech, Davis Tech, or Bridgerland Tech Colleges. The training will start in entry-level manufacturing until the apprentice has completed enough coursework with the tech college to be able to run a machine.
At that time, the apprentice with work with a mentor, learning hands-on machining and will work to complete a machining certificate.
The apprenticeship training period is for 1 year with a requirement of receiving a machining certificate from one of the Tech Colleges. After successful completion, the candidate will finish in an off-shift position as a permanent full-time employee.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in areas demonstrating mechanical aptitude is desired
- Physical lifting requirements include ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
