Job Scam Warning

Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure – how to recognize a scam

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use Whats App or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

• The phone numbers for Elwood Staffing are available on our website. You are encouraged to verify the numbers of the recruiter.

• Temporary position

• $16.00 to $17.00 /hour

• Full Time work available

• Weekend work required

• Various shifts available (Monday through Friday)

• Load finished goods into shippers according to work order specifications.

• Load pallets according to customer specifications.

• Set up/operate/troubleshoot and maintain taping, shrink wrap and over wrap equipment.

• Pick out/sort product defects from production process.

• Inspect finished goods for quality issues and maintain high quality standards.

• Day shift 5:55am – 2:30pm Mon to Fri $16.00/hr

• Swing shift 1:55pm – 10:30pm Mon to Fri $17.00/hr

• Lifting up to 50 pounds throughout your shift as needed

• Standing for the entire shift

• Basic math skills needed

• Packaging experience a plus

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
